COAST GUARD BOARDING TEAMS TACTICAL TRAINING
FOR KUWAITI AND QATARI CADETS
On 21-29 of September Cadets representing the States of Kuwait and Qatar who study at the Polish Naval Academy took part in the basic coast guard boarding teams training.
The training focused on tactical aspects of boarding teams operations during inspections of ships.
Main goals of the training were:
- Developing and improving knowledge and practice of coast guard functions ships’ inspection operations
- Studying and implementing risk analysis procedures and best practices before ship’s boarding and inspection operations
- Improving first medical aid skills and practicing in real-life simulation scenarios
- Improving and practicing boarding/ inspection team’s members communication in English
- Cadets’ capacity building for operations in international environments
- Improving instructors’ training methodologies and overall professional experience exchange among all participants of the training
The training was organized in cooperation between the Polish Naval Academy and other national military and law-enforcement agencies, including the Polish Border Guard.
