From the 24th to the 30th of April, the Academy was hosting the International Conference of the frigates users. The main organiser of the Conference was the 3rd Flotilla of the Polish Navy with participation of 10 countries delegations. The main focus of the Conference was: exploitation, usage and future of the OHP type frigates. The guests representing USA, Spain, Bahrain, Bangladesh, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Nigeria, Philippines, Pakistan and Poland have been welcomed by the 3rd Flotilla Commander Rear Adm. Mirosław Jurkowlaniec and Rector - Commandant of the Academy Rear Adm. prof. Tomasz Szubrycht. The main goal of the Conference (having official name IFWG - International Frigate Working Group) is experiences exchange on exploitation, modernisation and maintenance of that type of warships and is organised every year by the Navies having in Their inventory OFP clas frigates.
